Travel Notary LA (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website and provides mobile notary services in Los Angeles County and Long Beach. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under applicable law.

Information we collect

We only collect information you provide to us directly. Specifically:

  • Contact form submissions. When you fill out our contact form, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the service you’re interested in, and your message. Your IP address and browser user agent are also captured automatically as part of the submission for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
  • Newsletter subscriptions. If you sign up for our email list, we collect your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
  • Phone calls and texts. If you contact us by phone or SMS at (310) 896-8175, we may keep records of those communications to coordinate your appointment.

We do not use comment systems, third-party advertising trackers, or analytics that fingerprint individual visitors.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your contact form or appointment request.
  • To schedule and provide notary services.
  • To send newsletter content if you subscribed.
  • To comply with our legal obligations (notary public record-keeping is governed by California state law — see below).

Notary public records

As a California notary public, we are required by law to keep a journal of every notarial act we perform. This journal includes the date and type of notarization, the signer’s name and address, the type of identification verified, and the signer’s signature and thumbprint where applicable. These records are confidential, kept secure, and disclosed only as required by California state law, court order, or law enforcement request.

Service providers we share information with

We use a small number of third-party services to operate this site and respond to inquiries:

  • Ghost (privacy policy) — hosts this website and powers our newsletter.
  • Resend (privacy policy) — delivers transactional emails when you submit our contact form.

These providers process your information solely to deliver the service we’ve contracted them for. We do not sell or rent your personal information to any third party.

Cookies

This website uses minimal cookies. The only cookies set are those required to keep the site functioning (e.g., a Ghost session cookie if you sign in to the newsletter members area). We do not use marketing or advertising cookies.

Data retention

We retain contact form submissions for as long as we may reasonably need to respond and follow up — typically up to two years. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Notary journal entries are retained per California state law (currently a minimum of 7 years from the date of the notarial act).

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct or delete your information (subject to the notary record-keeping requirements above).
  • Unsubscribe from any non-required communications.

California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you also have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, request deletion of that information, and not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us so we can delete it.
